Hyper FocusCar DetailingBook now Booking information
Booking terms and conditions.
These terms explain the 50% booking deposit, cancellation arrangements, mobile-working conditions and responsibilities that apply when a booking is confirmed.
1. Booking and payment
1.1 A booking is confirmed only when we have accepted it and received the stated 50% booking deposit.
1.2 The remaining balance is due on completion of the service, unless we agree otherwise in writing. We may require payment before releasing the vehicle or before a vehicle is collected.
1.3 Prices are quoted for the selected service, vehicle category and condition described at booking. We may explain and agree an additional charge before beginning work where the vehicle is materially larger, dirtier, more contaminated or otherwise different from the description or images supplied.
1.4 Promotional offers cannot normally be combined and are subject to their stated terms.
2. Customer cancellation and changes
2.1 You may cancel or request a change by contacting us in writing using the contact details in your confirmation.
2.2 If you cancel more than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment, we will refund your booking deposit in full.
2.3 If you cancel between 24 and 48 hours before the scheduled appointment, we will refund 50% of the booking deposit.
2.4 If you cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, the booking deposit is not refundable.
2.5 We may retain only an amount that reasonably reflects the loss caused by a late cancellation, including reserved time, travel already incurred and lost opportunity to take another booking. If our actual loss is lower, we will refund the difference.
2.6 One reasonable reschedule may be offered without charge where requested more than 48 hours before the appointment and where availability permits. A reschedule requested inside 48 hours may be treated as a cancellation under clauses 2.3-2.5.
2.7 These terms do not remove any cancellation or refund rights that apply to you by law.
3. Our cancellation or rescheduling
3.1 We may postpone or cancel where weather, safety, vehicle condition, access, equipment failure, illness, traffic disruption or another event outside our reasonable control makes the service unsafe, impractical or likely to compromise the result.
3.2 Where we cancel or cannot reasonably complete the service, we will offer the earliest suitable rebooking date or a refund for any work not carried out.
3.3 We will not charge a cancellation fee where we cancel the appointment, except where the issue was caused by inaccurate customer information, unavailable access, unsafe conditions at the location or a breach of these terms.
4. Weather and mobile working conditions
4.1 Mobile detailing is weather-dependent. Rain, wind, frost, extreme temperatures, poor light or unsafe ground conditions may prevent some or all of the service from being completed to our standard.
4.2 If adverse weather affects the work, we may adjust the order of work, pause until conditions improve, complete only the elements that can be safely and properly completed, or reschedule the affected work.
4.3 Weather does not automatically reduce the agreed price. The booking reserves our time, travel and preparation. If a material part of the paid service cannot be provided, we will agree a fair rebooking or refund for that unprovided part.
4.4 Where possible, customers should provide a sheltered, well-lit, safe working area. We cannot guarantee external finishing work during rainfall or other unsuitable conditions.
5. Customer responsibilities
5.1 You must provide accurate vehicle details, current photographs if requested, and clear information about the vehicle's condition, modifications, coatings, known defects and areas of concern.
5.2 You must ensure safe, lawful access to the vehicle at the agreed time. This includes adequate space to work, safe parking, reasonable lighting, access to water and electricity where required, and permission to work at the location.
5.3 The vehicle must be unlocked and available. If keys, access, water, power, suitable space or permission are unavailable, we may be unable to start or continue. This may be treated as a late cancellation.
5.4 Please remove personal belongings, cash, valuables, child seats, loose items and sensitive documents before the appointment. We are not responsible for loss of items left in the vehicle unless caused by our negligence.
5.5 Tell us before work starts about any alarms, immobilisers, non-functioning switches, leaks, loose trim, aftermarket electrical work, body repairs, delicate materials, wrapped panels, matte paint, soft-top roofs or other special requirements.
5.6 You remain responsible for ensuring the vehicle is legally insured, roadworthy and safe to be moved where movement is necessary.
6. Vehicle condition, inspection and photographs
6.1 We may inspect and photograph the vehicle before, during and after the service to record condition, identify existing damage and demonstrate the work carried out. We may use anonymised images for training or marketing only with your permission where you are identifiable.
6.2 Existing damage, including scratches, stone chips, dents, corrosion, failing clear coat, poor prior repairs, worn trim, weak seals, loose badges, damaged wheels, cracked glass, aged plastics, staining, mould, odours or mechanical faults, will be noted where reasonably visible. A detail cannot repair every pre-existing fault.
6.3 Cleaning can reveal defects that were previously hidden by dirt or contamination. This does not mean that the service caused the defect.
6.4 We will take reasonable care but cannot be responsible for damage arising from pre-existing defects, poor previous repairs, concealed faults, unsuitable materials or a failure to disclose relevant information, except where caused by our negligence.
7. Scope of service and results
7.1 The service is limited to the package and extras selected at booking. Any additional work must be agreed before it is started.
7.2 We will perform services with reasonable care and skill. Results depend on vehicle age, condition, prior damage, material type and the time available.
7.3 We do not guarantee complete removal of scratches, swirl marks, staining, pet hair, odours, mould, tar, tree sap, industrial fallout, embedded contamination, biological contamination, paint defects or other long-standing issues unless expressly agreed in writing.
7.4 Paint correction improves the appearance of paint but does not make a vehicle factory new. Some defects may remain to protect paint thickness and avoid unnecessary risk.
7.5 Ceramic coatings, sealants, waxes and protectants are not insurance against damage. Durability depends on aftercare, mileage, storage, wash methods, environmental exposure and the condition of the surface. Manufacturer claims are subject to their own conditions.
8. Hygiene, contamination and unsafe vehicles
8.1 You must tell us in advance about hazardous waste, sharps, bodily fluids, pests, mould, excessive pet hair, chemical spills, illegal substances or other contamination.
8.2 We may refuse, stop or charge additionally for specialist work where a vehicle presents a health, safety, legal or biohazard risk. Specialist remediation will be quoted separately.
8.3 We may refuse to work on a vehicle that is unsafe, severely damaged, leaking, unstable, excessively hot or otherwise unsuitable for mobile detailing.
9. Collection, completion and concerns
9.1 Please inspect the vehicle with us at handover where possible. If you are unable to do so, we may send photographs or a completion message.
9.2 Raise any concern as soon as reasonably possible, preferably at handover or within 24 hours, with clear photographs. This helps us investigate promptly; it does not affect any legal rights you may have.
9.3 We may reasonably offer to inspect and, where appropriate, re-perform the affected part of the service before any refund is considered.
10. Liability and insurance
10.1 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or your statutory consumer rights.
10.2 Subject to clause 10.1, our liability for loss or damage caused by us is limited to the reasonably foreseeable loss arising directly from our breach or negligence.
10.3 We are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of use or costs that could reasonably have been avoided, unless the law says otherwise.
11. Data and communications
11.1 We use your contact and booking information to manage your appointment, payment and aftercare. We will handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Notice at hyperfocusdetailing.com/privacy.
11.2 By booking, you agree that we may contact you about your appointment by email, telephone or message.
12. General
12.1 We may update these terms from time to time. The version supplied at the time of booking applies to that booking.
12.2 If a term is found unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply.
12.3 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights.
