Hyper FocusCar DetailingBook now Your information
Privacy notice.
This notice explains what personal information Hyper Focus Car Detailing collects, why it is used and the choices available to you.
1. Who we are
Hyper Focus Car Detailing is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. We provide mobile car detailing, paint correction, ceramic protection and related vehicle-care services.
You can contact us about this notice or your information at steve@hyperfocusdetailing.com or on 07513 436760.
2. Information we collect
We may collect your name, telephone number, email address, service address or postcode, vehicle details, registration, service requirements, appointment preferences and the messages you exchange with us.
For booked work, we may also keep estimates, invoices, payment status, inspection notes, condition reports, photographs, work completed, aftercare information and your handover signature. Card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored in our website or Job Studio.
Our website and communications systems may record technical information such as the date and time of a request, browser or device information, delivery status and security logs.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, recommend suitable services, provide quotes, arrange and manage appointments, take deposits and payments, carry out and record work, provide aftercare, deal with questions or complaints and protect our legal and insurance position.
We may send service messages by telephone, SMS or email about an enquiry, booking, payment, appointment or completed job. We may also ask for feedback or a review after providing a service.
We use limited records to maintain and improve our service, prevent fraud or misuse, keep our systems secure and meet accounting, tax, legal and regulatory duties.
4. Our lawful bases
We normally process information because it is necessary to take steps at your request or perform our contract with you. We also rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the business, keeping accurate job and insurance records, following up enquiries and protecting customers, vehicles and our systems.
Where the law requires consent, including for optional marketing or non-essential cookies, you can withdraw that consent at any time. We may also process information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
5. Who we share information with
We use trusted service providers to host the website and Job Studio, manage customer enquiries and bookings, send communications, automate initial qualification, process payments, maintain calendars, store photographs and business records, and provide professional or technical support.
We share only the information those providers need to perform their services. We may also share information with insurers, advisers, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or another party where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect a person, vehicle, business or legal right.
Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we require an appropriate lawful safeguard, such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual protections.
6. Photographs, signatures and job records
Vehicle photographs, condition records, completed-work details and handover signatures are kept as part of the service record. They help us evidence the vehicle's condition, the work authorised and completed, and the customer's acceptance at handover.
We do not use identifiable customer photographs or personal information for advertising without permission. Vehicle images that do not identify a person may be used to demonstrate our work where we have a lawful basis to do so and any registration or identifying detail is handled appropriately.
7. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry records only for as long as reasonably needed to respond and follow up. Customer, payment and completed-job records are normally retained for up to six years after the end of the customer relationship because they may be needed for tax, accounting, warranty, complaint, insurance or legal purposes.
Some information may be removed sooner where it is no longer required. We may retain a minimal record for longer where necessary to record an opt-out, resolve a dispute or comply with law.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction, transfer of information you provided, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also withdraw consent at any time where consent is the lawful basis.
To exercise a right, contact us using the details above. We may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.
9. Cookies and website data
The website may use strictly necessary cookies or similar storage to provide security, maintain a session and make requested features work. We will not use optional advertising or analytics cookies without providing any consent mechanism required by law.
Links to third-party services, including booking, payment, maps or social platforms, are governed by those providers' own privacy information when you use them.
10. Updates
We may update this notice when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page. This notice was last updated on 1 September 2026.
